Running Nurture Hub Therapy Service takes a team - one that is passionate about supporting parent-carers and improving mental health. Read below to find out what each member of our team does, and why...
JULIE
I am the founder of Nurture Hub Therapy Service and a parent carer to a lovely, chatty adopted daughter with complex needs. I have a professional background managing social work, disability services and services for vulnerable young people, CAMHS, and as a director for a mental health charity. With over 20 years of experience, I run a private consultancy that offers training and supervision to organisations, individual psychologists, psychotherapists, and allied professionals, as well as completing ADHD and family assessments. My area of expertise is working with complex trauma, neurodivergent individuals, and childhood abuse. I work voluntarily for Nurture Hub as it’s my labour of love, and I am passionate about parent carer mental health. I know firsthand the realities of parent carer life. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dogs, exercising, dancing, listening to various types of music, and exploring all things arty and creative!!
SINEAD
Hi, I’m Sinead and my role is Specialist Counsellor for Nurture Hub. I provide emotional support for parent carers, offering a safe and understanding space to explore the complex emotions and experiences that can come with caring for a child with additional needs. Alongside this, I’ve worked in private practice, early years settings, and in a domestic abuse charity, supporting individuals through a range of experiences. My approach is rooted in a strong understanding of neurodivergence and a commitment to making therapy feel accessible, compassionate, and empowering.
ISSY
I'm Issy Martin and I am a BACP trainee person-centred counsellor with Nurture Hub. My background is in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and I am an accredited clinical associate psychologist and solution-focused practitioner, and have worked in mental health practitioner and autism specialist roles in the NHS, third sector and private sector for the past 9 years.
MARLA
Hi, I'm Marla! I work mostly behind the scenes for Nurture Hub Therapy, managing the social media pages (Instagram and Facebook linked below!), keeping the website updated and sending out occasional emails. It's really great to be a part of a lovely team working to provide such an important service to parent-carers! Outside of Nurture Hub, I am currently studying Journalism and Creative Writing at university.
